Book Club Friday

Just a reminder that book club is tomorrow (Friday November 8th) at 6pm in the Winn Room! Quinci is bringing food. We need to figure out if we are able to meet again at all before 2014, and decide a better day for meetings for next year since Fridays are too inconvenient for some. Hopefully everyone was able to catch up in the reading. We stopped at page 145 before Jaime's chapter. If you've read ahead, here is where we left each character:

• Jaime is being escorted by Brienne and his cousin Ser Cleos to Kings Landing. They are attacked while rowing down the river from Riverrun, and Brienne is able to sink the ship that is is chasing him with (with Jaime's help). Jaime pulls Brienne into the boat instead of killing her.
• Catelyn has freed Jaime in an attempt to get her daughters back from Cersei, but her brother Edmure sends ravens out asking for him to be found and recaptured.
• Arya, Gendry and Hot Pie travel to Riverrun, trying to stay ahead of the Bloody Mummers. Arya has a wolf dream.
• Tyrion is denied Casterly Rock, his rightful inheritance, by his father, who then insults him and threatens to hang his whores.
• Sansa speaks to Margaery and the Queen of Thorns about Joffrey. Sansa tells her that Joffrey is a monster.
• Jon is accepted by Mance Rayder into the wildlings.
• Dany sets sail for Astapor, one of the slave cities. Ser Jorah finally puts the moves on Dany.
• Bran decides to go north to find the three eyed crow.
• Davos is rescued and delivered to Dragonstone, and then arrested for attempting to assassinate Melisandre.

See you tomorrow!
