Hello! If you haven't started A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms yet, here are some things that might be useful:
This is the Targaryen Family Tree at the time of the first Dunk and Egg book (Daeron II is king at the start, and his father is deceased but I left him on there for context). Daeron II is the king who brought Dorne into the Seven Kingdoms through marriage. You can print this out and cross out characters as they die or draw little crowns over new kings or write notes or whatever you need!
The Blackfyre Rebellion took place in recent history for these characters -- this summary of the Blackfyre Rebellion and its aftermath is helpful.
GRRM kind of writes like he expects us to know almost as much as the characters do about this history and the royal family. So now you can!
Happy reading!
