Dunk and Egg

Hey Thronies - we're going back to our roots today! I got this email and I thought I would share it with you all. The Dunk and Egg novellas take place about 90 years before the events of A Song of Ice and Fire. Dunk is a hedge knight (who will eventually become Ser Duncan the Tall, Lord Commander of the King's Guard), and Egg is his squire, Prince Aegon (who becomes King Aegon  V Targaryen - he is also the brother of Maester Aemon). Three Dunk and Egg novellas have been published so far, and they are all being compiled together in this fancy new book. Here is the email; I apologize if the formatting gets wonky.
Before the Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros...

A century before the Game of Thrones , there was Dunk and Egg. A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name (hidden from all he and Dunk encounter) is Aegon Targaryen. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits.
