It's that time again! We're meeting Friday (tomorrow) at 6pm in the Winn Room, and David will be bringing food. If you're reading ahead, which I don't blame you for (we had a crazy cliffhanger this week!), here is where we left the characters at the end of the reading:
Dany: Dany has arrived in Qarth. She learns that King Robert is dead.
Bran: Jojen and Meera try to convince Bran that Jojen has green dreams, and that Bran has them also. Bran believes Maester Luwin, who says that there is no more magic in the world.
Tyrion: Tyrion manipulates Lancel into spying on Cersei for him.
Arya: Arya is reacquainted with Jaqen H'ghar. He says that because she saved three lives, she owes the Red God three deaths. He will kill anyone she names. She names Chiswyck.
Sansa: Sansa is publicly beaten and humiliated by Joffrey, and Tyrion rescues her.
Catelyn: Renly insists that Catelyn stay to witness the battle between himself and Stannis. Right before the battle, Renly is killed by a shadow. Catelyn and Brienne escape from the camp and ride north.
We didn't see Jon, Davos, or Theon this week. Last time, Jon was travelling north of the wall, heading for the Fist of the First Men. Davos was with Stannis, who we now know was making his way toward Storm's End to confront Renly. Theon was about to sail from the Iron Islands for mainland Westeros.
