Meeting Friday

We have a new meeting time! We are now meeting every other Friday at 6pm, starting with THIS Friday, August 23rd. Quinci is bringing food, and apparently we can meet in the Conference Room since the library will be closed. If you've read ahead in the book and need a reminder of where the discussion should stop, read on!

• Davos witnesses the burning of the Seven at Dragonstone. Stannis explains to Davos why he trusts Melisandre.
• Theon has arrived at Pyke to reunite with his father for the first time in ten years.
• Dany is trying to get her Khalasar through the Red Waste. They stop in an abandoned city, and Jhogo brings three riders from Qaith to meet Dany's dragons.
• Jon is north of the Wall with 200 men of the Night's Watch, looking for wildlings.
• Arya is in a holdfast with Yoren's recruits when it is attacked by Lannister men. Arya and a few others manage to escape, but not before she decides to free the three men locked in the cage.
• Tyrion hears of Stannis' letter proclaiming himself King. He goes through an underground tunnel hidden in a whorehouse to meet Shae, led by Varys.

Sansa, Bran, and Catelyn weren't in this reading. In the last reading, Sansa attended Joffrey's name day tournament, Bran was having wolf dreams, and Catelyn had decided to go south to speak with King Renly.

Some landmarks in King's Landing were mentioned in this reading. Don't forget there is a map of King's Landing in the book (right in front of the appendix) and also on this blog! There's a nifty search bar on the right side of the main page where you can search for it (and for anything else you might want to search for) if you want to try it out. You can also click the "maps" tag on the right to see all the posts that have maps.

See you Friday at 6pm in the Conference Room!
