Character Recap

I think most people have already finished book 3 and are well into the rest of the series, but Wednesday night our conversation will be limited to where the reading stopped to protect the ears of those of us who are not ahead. :) Read on to see where we left each character:

• Sansa marries Tyrion.
• Sam witnesses Lord Commander Mormont's murder, and flees Craster's Keep with Gilly to protect her newborn son from the Others.
• Catelyn's father dies, and Catelyn learns of Sansa's marriage. Edmure agrees to marry Roslin Frey to appease Lord Walder Frey.
• Davos is made Hand of the King. He watches Stannis and Melisandre perform blood magic, burning king's blood to bring about the death of the three usurping kings (Joffrey, Balon Greyjoy, and Robb).
• Jaime is promised an escort to King's Landing by Lord Bolton as soon as his arm is healed. Brienne is to stay behind as Vargo Hoat's "prize."
• Tyrion unhappily brings Prince Oberyn Martell into King's Landing in the place of Prince Doran.
• Bran, Jojen, Meera and Hodor hide at the top of Queenscrown during a thunder storm.
• Jon finally turns against the wildlings and flees to the Wall, escaping with the help of a grey direwolf.
• Daenerys frees the slaves of Yunkai with the help of Daario Naharis and his Stormcrows.
• Arya escapes from Lord Beric and is immediately captured by the Hound.

See you at 6pm in the staff lounge!
