Third Meeting

Thanks for coming to the meeting! Thank you Jacqueline for providing such awesome food! Our next meeting is Wednesday June 19th at 6pm in the Winn Room. Candie will bring a couple of pizzas (pepperoni and a mystic pizza). We will read to page 358, stopping before Catelyn's chapter. Some of our discussion points tonight were:

• Catelyn's hateful attitude toward Jon and whether or not we hold that against her character
• Who sent an assassin to kill Bran
• Littlefinger's trustworthiness (or lack of it) and his reasons for telling the Starks that the assassin's dagger belonged to Tyrion
• The mystery of Jon's mother and two of her possible identities (Wylla and Ashara Dayne)
• Ned's honor and his knack for lying by omission
• Bran's dream

In case you've read ahead, this is where we left each character at the end of this week's reading (to page 202):

• Bran woke up and named his wolf Summer
• Daenerys has married Khal Drogo
• Arya and Sansa are in King's Landing without wolves
• Catelyn has gone to King's Landing to seek information about the dagger
• Littlefinger took Ned to see Catelyn, and Catelyn is about to return to Winterfell
• Jon, at the Wall, is overcoming his idea that he's better than everyone else
• Tyrion is still at the Wall
